The Central Board of Secondary Education’s Class 12 re-evaluation and verification portal ran into fresh technical problems on Tuesday, with several students reporting login failures and frozen screens shortly after the platform was declared operational.
The latest disruption comes after multiple delays and repeated assurances from the board that post-result services would finally be available to students. But, what’s happening?
Students report login errors
Many students said they were unable to access the portal despite entering their credentials correctly. Several reported that the website froze after login details were submitted, preventing them from moving forward with the process.
Videos showing the errors were also shared online by students attempting to access the platform. Others reported similar experiences, saying the portal either failed to load or repeatedly rejected their login information.
One student said, “Some questions not checked by evaluator and mcq is correct but it was done wrong. Which option I select. Option is not given.”

Another student complained on X that the website was still not functioning properly. “It’s still not working, after filling log-in details & filling Captcha etc, it doesn’t log in, it says ‘verification failed, Pls. check your details & try again’,” the student wrote.
A third student said, “I was unable to log in even after trying for so long.”

Another candidate claimed the portal logged out automatically after completing the application process.
“It is not working. After fully filling up the Re-evaluation and clicking the Save and Payment tab it is logging out. Please fix asap. I have tried 2 times since morning 0500 am,” the student said.

Portal opened after multiple delays
The development follows several postponements in the launch of the verification and re-evaluation process.
CBSE had originally planned to make the portal available on May 29, 2026. The launch was later pushed to June 1, with officials citing the need to strengthen infrastructure and ensure a smoother experience for students.
The board also announced the launch on social media multiple times in recent days. However, reports of accessibility problems surfaced again soon after students began using the platform.
Large number of applications expected
The disruption affects more than 4,04,319 students expected to apply for verification of marks, photocopies of answer sheets and re-evaluation services this year.
Amid the controversy surrounding CBSE’s new On-Screen Marking system, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had estimated that between 15 and 20 per cent of students who viewed their evaluated answer books could seek verification or re-evaluation.
If that estimate proves correct, the board could receive between 60,000 and 80,000 applications, potentially making it one of the largest post-result review exercises in CBSE’s history.
Complaints persist
Technical concerns have been building since the declaration of Class 12 results.
Students and parents have reported payment gateway failures, excess fee deductions, missing receipts, login issues and difficulties accessing scanned answer sheets.
Some candidates also claimed that answer-book copies were blurred, incomplete or did not match their original responses.
The portal had previously faced heavy traffic when it opened earlier, leading to disruptions and temporary shutdowns.
Admission deadlines add pressure
The continuing technical issues have increased anxiety among students hoping to improve their scores before college admissions and counselling processes begin.
With repeated disruptions despite revised schedules, many candidates remain uncertain about when they will be able to complete verification and re-evaluation requests without technical problems.
