Delhi: In the national capital, the mercury is steadily rising. By late April, temperatures had crossed 40 degrees. Although there has been some relief over the past two or three days, the weather may change at any time. Keeping this in mind, the Directorate of Education has announced summer vacations for Delhi schools from May 11 to June 30, 2026. Due to the intense heat, school timings have already been changed in many districts. As in previous years, summer vacations may be extended beyond June 20, with decisions often taken at the district level depending on the weather.
Bihar and Haryana: As per the Bihar Education Department’s calendar, summer vacations are scheduled from June 1 to June 20, 2026. In Haryana, schools are also expected to remain closed from June 1 to June 30. However, both states frequently extend holidays if the weather demands it.
