Fresh and shocking revelations have emerged in the investigation into the alleged cheating and paper leak linked to the NEET UG examination. Agencies probing the scam have uncovered sensational details suggesting that the leaked question papers were not confined to a single city or state but were allegedly sold openly across at least five states in the country.

Investigators believe the network behind the leak was highly organised and stretched across multiple regions, connecting states such as Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Bihar. The revelations have triggered serious concerns over the credibility and integrity of the country’s examination system.

Maharashtra Emerges As Main Hub Of Leak Network

According to investigation documents and preliminary findings, Maharashtra allegedly served as the central hub for the illegal sale and distribution of NEET UG question papers.

Officials probing the case found that the highest number of leaked papers were reportedly bought and sold in the state. After Maharashtra, Rajasthan emerged as another major hotspot, where students and parents were allegedly offered question papers in exchange for huge sums of money.

Investigators suspect that several coaching hubs and centres in Rajasthan were specifically targeted by the racket.

Leak Spread Across Five States

Sources linked to the investigation claim that the leaked papers were circulated in at least five states through a carefully planned network. Agencies now believe the operation was not run by a single gang but by an organised syndicate operating across several states.

Candidates Charged Between Rs 20 Lakh And Rs 50 Lakh

According to CBI sources, transactions worth crores of rupees took place as part of the scam. Investigators claim that candidates were allegedly charged anywhere between Rs 20 lakh and Rs 50 lakh for access to the leaked papers and related assistance. Many parents reportedly spent their life savings in the hope of securing medical seats for their children.

Officials also suspect that most transactions were carried out in cash and through secret channels to avoid creating any digital trail.

Secret Hotels, Farmhouses And Codewords Used

The investigation has further revealed the sophisticated methods allegedly adopted by the accused to execute the conspiracy.

Rather than contacting candidates directly, the gangs reportedly relied on local middlemen to coordinate the operation. On the night before the examination, students were allegedly gathered at secret locations, including hotels and farmhouses.

Investigators say mobile phones were collected from candidates to prevent communication leaks, while answers were reportedly memorised using coded language and codewords.

Agencies Expand Probe Across States

Following the exposure of the alleged inter-state racket, central investigation agencies have intensified the probe.

Several suspicious examination centres, coaching operators and lower-level employees linked to education departments in Maharashtra, Rajasthan and other affected states are now under scrutiny.

Police and investigation teams have also begun conducting raids and examining bank accounts, financial transactions and properties linked to the alleged masterminds in an effort to uncover the full extent of the network.

Investigation Focuses On Main Conspirators

Officials involved in the probe are now attempting to identify the top organisers and financiers behind the racket. Agencies believe dismantling the entire network will require tracing links between brokers, coaching centres, solver gangs and local operatives spread across multiple states.

The expanding investigation has once again raised major questions over examination security and the vulnerability of large-scale competitive tests in the country.
