The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has strongly refuted allegations circulating on social media regarding the awarding of a major service contract to Coempt Eduteck for the 2026 board examinations. In an official clarification released on the social media platform X, the national digital education and examination board dismissed the accusations as entirely erroneous, misleading, and devoid of factual basis. The board emphasised that the entire procurement process was conducted with absolute transparency and in total alignment with established government protocols.
According to the official statement issued by the board, CBSE scrupulously followed the guidelines laid down under the General Financial Rules (GFR) of the Government of India throughout the tendering and selection process. To ensure fair institutional competition and a transparent bidding environment, CBSE had originally floated the Request for Proposal (RFP) for the “Digital Evaluation of Answer Books for Board Examinations 2026″ on the Central Public Procurement (CPP) portal on August 28, 2025.

The contract was subsequently awarded to the service provider after they emerged as the legally and technically qualified bidder through the rigorous multi-stage evaluation process mandated by the e-procurement portal. By publicising the timeline and regulatory framework of the tender, the board has sought to reassure students, schools, and institutional stakeholders of the absolute integrity of the evaluation systems being established for the 2026 examination cycle, effectively shutting down speculative reports questioning the selection of the external tech agency.
