The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) students across India are raising concerns online after several posts about answer sheet mistakes, incorrect uploads and evaluation errors started circulating on X. Many students claimed that the marks they received did not match their actual performance, while some even alleged they were sent answer sheets that did not belong to them.

The issue has triggered panic among students and parents, especially after some users shared that their marks increased sharply after re-evaluation. Several people are now questioning how accurate the digital scanning and checking system really is.

Student Says Marks Jumped After Correction

One student claimed his overall percentage increased from 84 per cent to 91 per cent after his Chemistry paper was corrected.

“My overall percentage increased from 84% to 91% after the correction of my Chemistry paper. That’s how serious answer sheet errors can be. Many students with low marks may be blaming themselves, while the real issue could actually be an evaluation mistake or checking error,” he wrote.

He further added, “And this was after corrections in Chemistry alone, increasing my overall percentage from 84% to 91%, roughly a 35 mark jump. Imagine how many students never even apply for re-evaluation and continue believing the low marks were their fault.”

The student also advised others to apply for rechecking if they genuinely felt their marks did not reflect their performance.

“Students who genuinely feel their marks don’t reflect their performance should consider applying for re-evaluation or contacting officials for rechecking instead of immediately assuming they failed because they didn’t study enough,” he posted.

Another Student Questions Paper Checking

Another X user shared a photo of his Physics answer sheet and questioned the evaluation process. “Yeh kis andhe ne check kra h meri physics ki copy,” he wrote.

In the image, the student pointed out a mistake where a small letter appeared to have been marked wrong, even though many users felt the answer looked correct.

The post led to arguments online, with some supporting the student while others defended the examiner’s decision.

Student Claims Scanned Copy Was Not His

A different student alleged that the scanned answer sheet sent by CBSE did not even belong to him. “I am a CBSE Class 12th Student. When I saw my copy, I only got 33/80, so I applied for my scanned copy. Yesterday I received my scanned copy from CBSE and when I opened it, it wasn’t even my handwriting, black pen was used when I didn’t even use it,” he wrote.

The student also uploaded photos and a short video comparing the handwriting in the answer sheet with his own writing samples.

In another post, he added, “I only got my English copy from CBSE so I am not able to show others copies to match my handwriting but I’m attaching my practice work from accounts. In these photos it’s completely visible that the two handwritings are different and even the words are written differently.”

Some Students Say They Never Received Copies

Another student named Animesh Ghosh claimed he paid for his scanned answer sheet but still had not received it.

“Dear CBSE I am Animesh Ghosh, a Class 12 student. I applied for my scanned answer sheet and paid ₹200, but I still have not received it. I strongly believe there may be an issue with my evaluation, and without the scanned copy I cannot verify my ans. #CBSE #Class12 #CBSEResults,” he posted.

Social Media Users React To The Complaints

As more students shared their experiences online, reactions poured in from users expressing concern over the checking system.

“35 marks increased after correction in one subject alone. Yet students are constantly told the evaluation system is “accurate” and that low marks only mean they didn’t study enough,” a person wrote.

Another commented, “I regret not giving my paper for recheck.”

A user wrote, “saaf dikh raha h glt h m1 m2 small me likhna tha capital me likh diya kaise anpadh bachhe h fir royenge ki marks cut kr diya.”

“Now I also want to see mine,” another person posted.

A comment read, “CBSE gave you someone else’s answer sheet? Different handwriting, black pen when you didn’t use one, and they didn’t even notice. This is someone’s future. Escalate this now.”

Another user questioned, “Why do students need to pay just to check their answer sheet??? At this point, they are just looting literal teenagers.”

“Same I also paid 300 and didn’t receive any of the copies,” a person said. Another added, “Same, I had applied on 20.05.2026, but still not receiving my answer sheet.”
