CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Result 2026: Around 1.63 lakh students were placed in the compartment category after the declaration of the main Class 12 results.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to announce the Class 12 Supplementary Result 2026 soon. As per media reports, it is likely to be released in August. However, the Board has not yet confirmed the date or time of the result declaration.
The supplementary examination was conducted on July 28, 2026, for students placed in the compartment category in the Class 12 main board examination, as well as for eligible students who appeared for improvement in one subject. Around 1.63 lakh students were placed in the compartment category after the declaration of the main Class 12 results.
CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Result: Previous-Year Trend
In 2021, the exams were held between August 16 and September 15, with results announced on September 29. In 2022, the exam was conducted on August 23 and the result was declared on September 7.
While the 2023 supplementary exam was held on July 17, and the result was announced on August 1. In 2024 and 2025, the examinations were conducted on July 15, while results were declared on August 2 and August 1, respectively.
Based on this trend, the 2026 result is expected in August.

Step 1: Visit the official website of CBSE – results.cbse.nic.in
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link for CBSE 12th Board Compartment Exam Result 2026
Step 3: Now enter your roll number, date of birth and security pin
Step 4: Click on submit button and your CBSE Board Result 2026 will appear on the screen.
Step 5: Check the CBSE Result carefully and download it
Step 6: Take a printout of your marksheet for future reference
The 2026 Class 12 examinations was checked through the On-Screen Marking (OSM) process. Following the results, several students raised concerns about evaluation and marks. Some students reportedly found that answer sheets uploaded against their names did not belong to them. Government sources told news agency PTI that CBSE detected around 20 cases where students were shown answer sheets belonging to other candidates after the board introduced its OSM system this year. CBSE subsequently provided facilities for obtaining scanned answer books, verification and re-evaluation.
