RRB Technician Vacancy 2026: There is important news for candidates preparing for government jobs in the Railways. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has issued a notification for RRB Technician Recruitment 2026 to fill technician posts. Interested candidates can apply online from June 30, 2026 to July 29, 2026. Applications will be accepted only through the official website rrbapply.gov.in.
total of 6565 vacancies will be filled under CEN 02/2026, out of which 323 posts are for Technician Grade I Signal and 6242 posts are for Technician Grade III.
As per the information released by RRB, the recruitment process will be conducted in various railway zones across the country. The selection process will consist of a Computer Based Test (CBT), document verification, and a medical examination. A detailed notification containing zone-wise vacancies, exam pattern, syllabus, and reservation details will be released soon.
RRB Technician Recruitment 2026: Who Can Apply?
Educational Qualification: For Technician Grade I Signal posts, candidates must possess a BE/BTech, an engineering diploma, or a BSc degree in a relevant discipline. For Technician Grade III posts, candidates must have passed class 10 with an ITI certificate in a relevant trade, or class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Math (PCM).
Age Limit: The age limit for Technician Grade I Signal is 18 to 33 years, and for Technician Grade III it is 18 to 30 years. Age will be calculated as on July 1, 2026. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per government rules. The application fee is Rs 500 for General, OBC, and EWS categories, while SC, ST, and other reserved category candidates will have to pay Rs 250.
