The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a travel advisory for candidates appearing for the UGC NET June 2026 re-examination at centres in Delhi on September 9 and 10, warning of possible traffic congestion, diversions and delays due to security arrangements ahead of the BRICS Summit.

The 18th BRICS Summit is scheduled to be held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from September 11 to 13. In preparation for the summit, extensive security arrangements are being put in place, with traffic restrictions and diversions expected in several parts of the capital on September 9 and 10.

NTA said examination centres are not located in areas expected to be directly affected by the major restrictions. However, candidates travelling to their centres may encounter congestion and longer-than-usual travel times on certain routes.

“Although the UGC-NET Examination Centres are not located in the areas expected to be directly affected by the major restrictions, candidates travelling to examination centres in Delhi may experience traffic congestion, diversions and delays on certain routes due to the security and traffic management arrangements,” the NTA stated in an official notice.

NTA has further advised candidates to monitor the latest traffic advisories issued by the Delhi Traffic Police and other concerned authorities. They should also reach their examination centres well before the reporting time mentioned on their admit cards and follow all instructions specified on the admit card.
