TN SSLC Toppers List: The overall pass percentage stood in 2025 at 93.80% while in 2024, it was 91.55%. Girls outperformed boys in both the years.

The Tamil Nadu Board has announced the Class 10 (SSLC) Results 2026 today, May 20, at 9:30 AM. Students who appeared for the examinations can access their results through the official TNDGE websites — dge.tn.gov.in and tnresults.nic.in. In addition, the results will also be available on dge1.tn.nic.in, dge2.tn.nic.in, apply1.tndge.org, and the National Informatics Centre (NIC) portal.

A total of 94.31% of students have passed the TN SSLC Results 2026, marking a slight increase from last year’s pass percentage of 93.80%. Girls have once again outperformed boys, with 96.47% of female students and 92.15% of male students clearing the exams. Pudukkottai district emerged as the top performer in the Tamil Nadu SSLC Result 2026, achieving an overall pass percentage of 97.57%.
Previous Years’ TN SSLC Performance
2025:
The Tamil Nadu Class 10 board examinations were conducted from March 28 to April 15, 2025. The overall pass percentage stood at 93.80%. Girls outperformed boys with a pass percentage of 95.88%, while boys recorded 91.74%.
2024:
In 2024, the overall pass percentage for the TN SSLC exams was 91.55%. Out of 8,94,264 students who appeared for the exams, 8,18,743 successfully passed. Girls performed better than boys, securing a pass percentage of 94.53%, compared to 88.58% among boys. Ariyalur emerged as the top-performing district, followed by Sivagangai and Ramanathapuram. A total of 4,105 schools achieved a 100% pass result, including 1,364 government schools.
2023:
The TN SSLC examinations in 2023 recorded an overall pass percentage of 91.39%. Out of 9,14,320 students who appeared for the exams, 8,35,614 passed successfully. Among boys, 4,59,303 students appeared, with 4,04,904 clearing the exam, resulting in a pass percentage of 88.16%. Among girls, 4,55,017 students appeared and 4,30,710 passed, taking the pass percentage to 94.66%. Around 3,584 students secured full marks in Science, 89 in English, 320 in Social Studies, and 3,649 in Mathematics.
2022:
In 2022, the TN SSLC exams recorded a 90% overall pass percentage — the lowest in the last five years. Kanyakumari district registered the highest pass percentage at 97.22%, while Dindigul recorded the lowest at 81.25%.
2021 and 2020:
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Tamil Nadu Board did not conduct SSLC examinations in 2021 and 2020. Results during these years were declared based on alternative assessment methods. Despite this, the pass percentage in later years remained lower than pre-pandemic levels.
