IIT Roorkee has announced the JEE Advanced 2026 results, with Arohi Deshpande emerging as the female topper. She secured All India Rank 77 in the common rank list and Rank 1 in the female category from the IIT Delhi zone. Scoring a total of 280 out of 360 marks in both papers, she has become a source of inspiration for girls preparing for the country’s most challenging engineering entrance exam.

Arohi Deshpande, originally from Pune, Maharashtra, prepared for JEE in Kota, Rajasthan. She stayed away from social media and concentrated solely on overcoming her weaknesses. The JEE Advanced 2026 female topper now aims to pursue a B.Tech from one of the country’s top IITs. Her journey in Kota as the nation’s “girl champion” highlights the secrets behind her success.

Arohi’s JEE journey is closely tied to Kota, the country’s largest education hub. During her school years, she decided to join an IIT and moved to Kota to chase this goal. She believes the Kota environment motivated her to improve daily. Weekly tests and competition with top students from across India sharpened her preparation and enabled her to face the final exam with confidence.

Arohi’s biggest strength was her consistency. Throughout her preparation, she completely avoided using a smartphone and social media. She believes that spending time on reels and chatting disrupts concentration. Arohi maintained a consistent study schedule of 8 to 9 hours a day, focusing on quality. Analysing mock tests was central to her routine. She recorded her mistakes in a diary and, with guidance from her coaching teachers, corrected them quickly.

To clear the demanding JEE Advanced exam, Arohi used different strategies for each subject. For Chemistry, she thoroughly memorised NCERT fundamentals. For Physics and Mathematics, she focused on conceptual understanding and then practised extensively with advanced-level questions. During the exam period, she took short breaks to relax and listened to light music to keep her mind refreshed.

Among the 56,880 candidates who qualified this year, Arohi stood out as the best-performing female student in the country. With this outstanding result, she is now preparing to participate in the upcoming JoSAA 2026 counselling process. Arohi hopes to contribute to enhancing the country’s reputation in research and technology by securing admission in computer science.
