NEET UG Re-Exam Live Updates: ‘Sit Fearlessly, Without Worry,’ Pradhan Tells Students Ahead Of Re-NEET
NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Live Updates: The NEET UG re-examination is scheduled to be held on June 21 from 2 pm to 5:15 pm in pen-and-paper mode across 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad, covering over 22.79 lakh candidates. The NTA has put in place stringent security measures, including mandatory frisking using high-sensitivity metal detectors and enhanced deployment of personnel and equipment at all centres. The examination will also be monitored in real time through centralised control systems.
Candidates must carry their admit card, a valid photo ID, and two passport-size photographs, failing which entry will not be permitted. The agency has also introduced WhatsApp updates for exam-related information, advising students to rely only on verified accounts bearing the ‘National Testing Agency’ name and blue tick.
After investigators found that a ‘guess paper’ matching at least 120 out of 180 questions from the May 3rd exam was circulating on messaging platforms, the NTA and the Centre decided to cancel the test and conduct a re-exam.
On the other hand, 1,672 candidates approached the Supreme Court seeking postponement of the re-exam and an independent probe. During the hearing, advocate Adeel Ahmed highlighted candidates’ mental stress due to alleged paper leaks, along with technical issues such as website crashes and difficulties in downloading admit cards.
