The National Testing Agency (NTA) has activated the online portal for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates to submit their scribe details for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) 2026. According to the latest public notice issued by the NTA, the portal opened on June 9, and will conclude on June 12, at 11:50 pm.
Eligible candidates must log in and register their options promptly ahead of the medical entrance exam, which is scheduled to take place on June 21, 2026. The exam was first conducted on May 3, and days after the exam, it was cancelled as the allegedly the paper got leak.
“In pursuance of the National Testing Agency (NTA) Public Notices dated 15 May 2026 and 08 June 2026, the portal is being opened for PwD/PwBD candidates, who are eligible for availing facility of scribe in NEET (UG) 2026, scheduled to be conducted on 21 June 2026, to exercise their option as per the schedule mentioned below…” states the official notice.
NEET UG 2026: How To Register For Scribe
Step 1: Visit the official NTA NEET website at neet.nta.nic.in.
Step 2: Log in using your valid credentials.
Step 2: Locate and click on the ‘Register Scribe Details’ button on the candidate homepage. This button will be visible only to PwD/PwBD candidates eligible for this facility.
Step 3: Select your preferred scribe option and carefully submit the required information.
Step 4: Download and save the confirmation page.
NTA is slated to release the admit cards for the NEET UG re-test 2026 on June 14. The exam is slated to be conducted on June 21 between 2 pm to 5.15 pm. The hall tickets will be available on the official websites, examinationservices.nic.in and neet.nta.nic.in. Candidates can download their NEET UG 2026 admit cards using their login credentials, including application number, date of birth, and other required details. The exam will consist of 180 questions, all compulsory. This includes 45 questions from Physics, 45 from Chemistry and 90 from Biology. The test will be held for three hours and comprise a total of 720 marks.
