The NEET PG 2026 examination process has concluded following the re-examination of 2,445 candidates affected by a technical disruption at two examination centres in Jaipur. Candidates are now awaiting the official answer key and result, which will be released on the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) official website at nbe.edu.in.

The NEET PG 2026 exam was conducted on August 30 at 1,111 examination centres across 338 cities. Of the 2,65,980 candidates who appeared, around 2,63,535 successfully completed the examination, according to official figures. The exam at two centres in Jaipur’s Sitapura area was disrupted by a power failure, following which NBEMS scheduled a re-examination for the 2,445 affected candidates on September 5. The re-exam has now been completed.

The board has indicated that the result is scheduled to be declared by September 30, 2026, although a specific date has not yet been announced. As per media reports, the answer key could be released on September 10. However, candidates should wait for an official NBEMS notification.

Answer Key Introduced Last Year

NEET PG 2025 marked the first time NBEMS released an official answer key, following a Supreme Court directive on transparency in the examination process. The answer key, along with candidates’ recorded responses and question IDs, was released on August 29, 2025.

NEET PG 2026 Expected Cutoff Marks

For the General and EWS category candidates, they must score a minimum of 50 percentile or 276 marks out of 800 in the NEET PG exam to qualify. The General-PwBD candidates must score a minimum of 45 percentile or 255 marks to qualify the examination. SC/ST/ OBC (Including PwBD of SC/ST/OBC) category candidates must score a minimum of 40 percentile or 235 marks to qualify for NEET PG.

NEET PG Answer Key: How To Check?

Step 1: Visit natboard.edu.in and nbe.edu.in, the NBEMS’s official websites.

Step 2: Look for the NEET PG Answer Key link on the homepage.

Step 3: Fill up the required credentials, which includes the registration number and password.

Step 4: Now, click the “Submit” button.

Step 5: Your answer key for NEET PG 2026 will appear on the screen.

Step 6: Print the NEET PG answer key after downloading it for future reference.
