CBSE announces Class 12 results, overall pass rate 85.20 percent, down from 88.39 percent last year. Girls 88.86 percent, boys 82.13 percent, Trivandrum tops with 95.62 percent.
For students who wish to improve their performance or those placed in the compartment category, a supplementary examination is scheduled for July 15, 2026. (ANI)
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday announced the class 12 results. Of a total of 17,80,365 students, 17,68,968 appeared and 15,07,109 students passed.
This year, a total of 17,80,365 students registered for the CBSE Class 12 examinations, of whom 17,68,968 appeared and 15,07,109 passed. The pass percentage stands at 85.20%. In comparison, 88.39% passed last year, which was 3.19% more than this year. A total of 1,63,000 students have been placed in the compartment category.

While the pass percentage for girls stands at 88.86 per cent, for the boys it stood at 82.13 per cent.

Among regions, Trivandrum recorded the best result with a pass percentage of 95.62%. Other high-performing regions are:

CBSE allows students to get their answer sheets re-evaluated, including the marks awarded, the examiner’s remarks, and any apparent errors. Once students obtain a photocopy of their answer sheet, they may apply for verification of marks, re-evaluation of specific questions, or both, as per the prescribed procedure.
