The Lok Sabha passed the anti-paper leak bill on Wednesday with the aim to prevent paper leaks and unfair practices in national level entrance exams such as NEET as well as to strengthen action against those involved in examination-related fraud. The Bill introduces stricter penalties, including up to 10 years of imprisonment and fines of up to Rs 10 crore for accused individuals and entities involved in organised paper leaks.

Bill passed amid Opposition protest
The Bill was passed in the Lok Sabha amid protests by Opposition members, who walked out during the proceedings. Despite the disruption, the legislation was cleared by the House.
