UP TET Conducted After a Four-Year Gap
The UPTET 2026 examination marked the return of the eligibility test after a gap of four years. It was also the first time that the Uttar Pradesh Education Services Selection Commission conducted the exam.
The examination was held in five shifts between July 2 and July 3 at 955 centres across 60 districts of Uttar Pradesh. According to the Commission, the examination was conducted smoothly, transparently, and securely.
More than 19 lakh candidates registered for the exam. To strengthen security, authorities deployed advanced technology, including AI-enabled surveillance cameras. During the three-day examination, the AI monitoring system helped identify 44 impersonators who were attempting to appear in the exam on behalf of other candidates.
