TS ICET counselling 2026 schedule out: Check registration dates, eligibility and fee
The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) has released the detailed schedule for the Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test (TGICET) 2026 counselling. The counselling will be held for admission to Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programmes offered by universities and affiliated colleges across Telangana. Candidates who qualified in TGICET 2026 can take part in the web-based counselling process by completing online registration, processing fee payment, slot booking, certificate verification and web option entry through the official counselling portal. As per the official schedule, online filing of basic information, processing fee payment and slot booking for the first phase will begin on July 31, 2026, and continue till August 5, 2026. Candidates are advised to fill in as many web options as possible to improve their chances of getting a seat. They should carefully choose colleges and courses before locking their preferences.
TGICET counselling 2026: Eligibility criteria
Candidates must meet the following conditions to participate in the counselling process:
- Must be an Indian citizen.
- Must satisfy the local or unreserved status rules prescribed by the Telangana government.
- Should have qualified TGICET 2026.
- Must have secured at least 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree examination. Candidates belonging to reserved categories need 45% aggregate marks.
- For MBA admissions, candidates must have a recognised bachelor’s degree of at least three years.
- For MCA admissions, candidates must have passed Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), Bachelor of Science (BSc), Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) with Mathematics at the Class 12 or graduation level.
- Degrees obtained through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) are accepted only if recognised by the competent authorities.
- Eighty-five per cent of seats are reserved for local candidates of the Osmania University (O.U.) area, while the remaining 15 per cent are open to eligible candidates.
- The maximum age for scholarship eligibility is 30 years for Open Category (OC) candidates and 34 years for reserved category candidates as on July 1, 2026.
Qualifying TGICET 2026 alone does not guarantee admission. Candidates must also meet all other eligibility conditions prescribed by the authorities.
Documents required for certificate verification
Candidates must carry the original documents along with two sets of photocopies:
- TGICET 2026 rank card
- TGICET 2026 hall ticket
- Aadhaar card
- Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or equivalent marks memo
- Intermediate or equivalent marks memo-cum-pass certificate
- Degree marks memorandum
- Provisional degree certificate
- Study or bonafide certificates from Class 9 to degree
- Transfer Certificate (TC)
- Income certificate issued on or after January 1, 2026, if applicable
- Economically Weaker Section (EWS) certificate valid for 2026-27, if applicable
- Integrated community certificate, if applicable
- Any other documents required for the candidate’s category
How to register
Candidates need to visit the official TGICET counselling portal and log in using their TGICET 2026 registration number, hall ticket number and date of birth. They must then fill in the required details, including Aadhaar number, mobile number, email address and certificate details, wherever applicable. The counselling processing fee is:
- ₹600 for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates.
- ₹1,200 for all other categories.
The fee can be paid online through credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI.
