The State Bank of India (SBI) has released the SBI Probationary Officer (PO) notification for 2026. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for SBI PO posts on the official website, sbi.co.in. Out of the 1500 vacancies announced, 1446 are regular vacancies (588 for UR, 144 for EWS, 390 for OBC, 216 for SC, and 108 for ST), while the remaining 54 vacancies are from backlog vacancies (18 in SC and 36 in ST).
SBI PO Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Candidates applying must hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university. Final-year students can also apply.
Age Limit: Applicants should be between 21 and 30 years of age. Age relaxation is available for candidates from reserved categories as per government norms.
Candidates are advised to carefully check all eligibility conditions before applying.

Step 4 – Select the “Recruitment of Probationary Officers (PO) 2026″ link and read the details
Step 5 – Click on “Apply Online” and complete registration
Step 6 – Fill in the application form with personal and educational details
Step 7 – Upload required documents such as photograph, signature, and certificates
Step 8 – Pay the application fee using online payment methods
Step 9 – Review the form carefully and submit it
Step 10 – Download the confirmation page and take a printout for future use
SBI PO Recruitment 2026: Selection Process
The selection process includes a preliminary exam, main exam, psychometric test, group exercise, and interview. The preliminary exam will consist of 100 objective type questions. The exam will be held online and will be divided into three sections – English, quantitative aptitude, reasoning ability. Students will get one hour to solve the exam. Category wise merit list will be drawn on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in prelims. Candidates who clear the prelims will be shortlisted for Main.
Candidates will get a basic pay of Rs 41,960 with four advance increments in the scale of Rs 36, 000 to Rs 63,840.
