The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the short notification for the recruitment of 6,565 Technician Grade-I (Signal) and Technician Grade-III posts. Eligible candidates can apply online starting tomorrow, June 30, 2026. The last date to submit the application form is July 29, 2026, till 11:59 pm. Candidates can apply through the official website, rrbapply.gov.in.
RRB Technician Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Candidates applying for these posts must have passed Class 10 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board. They should also have an ITI certificate from an NCVT or SCVT-approved institute in the relevant trade.
Candidates with an apprenticeship certificate can also apply. For the Technician Grade-I (Signal) post, a degree or diploma in a relevant engineering field may also be required. Complete details will be available in the official notification.
Age Limit: For Technician Grade-I (Signal), candidates should be between 18 and 33 years of age. While for Technician Grade-III, the age limit is 18 to 30 years. Age relaxation will be provided to candidates from reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC and other categories as per government rules.

Step 1 – Visit the official RRB website, rrbapply.gov.in or go to the regional RRB websites.
Step 2 – Create a new account and enter the required details.
Step 3 – Select the relevant CEN and railway zone.
Step 4 – Fill out the application form carefully.
Step 5 – Upload the required documents.
Step 6 – Pay the application fee.
Step 7 – Check all details and submit the form.
Step 8 – Save a copy of the application form for future use.
RRB Technician Recruitment 2026: Selection Process
The selection process for RRB Technician Recruitment 2026 will be completed in three stages: Computer Based Test (CBT); Document Verification; and Medical Examination. Candidates who clear all three stages will be selected for appointment.
RRB Technician Recruitment 2026: Salary Details
Selected candidates will receive a good salary along with various government benefits.
Technician Grade-I (Signal): Starting basic salary of Rs 29,200 per month under Pay Level-5 of the 7th Pay Commission.
Technician Grade-III: Starting basic salary of Rs 19,900 per month under Pay Level-2.
Along with the basic salary, railway employees will also get benefits such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), pension benefits, railway travel concessions and medical facilities as per rules.
The Railway Recruitment Board has confirmed that the entire application process will be online. Candidates are advised to apply on time and not wait until the last date.
