Schools are likely to remain shut today in the following states and Union Territories: Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Delhi, Telangana, West Bengal, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Tripura, and Mizoram.
