Madhav Viradiya secured 100 percentile in both sessions of JEE Main 2026.
Madhav Viradiya has emerged as the Maharashtra topper in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026, securing 100 percentile in both sessions 1 and 2. The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the results late on Monday evening, with 26 students achieving a perfect 100 percentile.
In his very first attempt at JEE Main, he achieved a perfect score. He repeated this feat in his second attempt and is now preparing for JEE Advanced, aiming for a seat in the prestigious Computer Science programme at IIT Bombay. “In these times, computer science is a good skill to have,” he said.
His father, an engineer, runs a business in Gujarat, while his elder brother is studying at IIT Jodhpur. Madhav considers his father and brother as his inspirations for choosing this path. He has been preparing for the exam for the past four years, since Class 9. He scored 92 per cent in his Class 10 board exams and is currently awaiting his Class 12 results.
A native of Vadodara, Gujarat, Madhav moved to Mumbai to prepare specifically for the JEE. A student of Narayana Schools, the 17-year-old said he devoted three to four hours daily to self-study as most of the JEE preparations were done at school.
“It was not that difficult to manage Class 12 and JEE. Four subjects were already covered in the JEE syllabus. We just had to manage English and Physical Education. Most of the time I only prepared for JEE, and I took a one-month break to study for the boards,” he told News18.
He advised future aspirants to “just work hard, don’t focus on distractions, we have plenty of time to enjoy later.”
