JEE Advanced Results: Kabeer aims to pursue a B.Tech in CSE from IIT Bombay and aspires to continue his higher studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Kabeer Chhillar secured 329 out of 360 marks.
Gurugram’s Kabeer Chhillar has secured All India Rank 2 in the JEE Advanced 2026 results, scoring 329 marks—just one mark short of the top rank. Shubham Kumar claimed AIR 1 with 330 marks. Notably, the top three rank holders—Shubham Kumar, Kabeer Chhillar, and Jatin Chahar—are all from the IIT Delhi zone. Jatin secured AIR 3 with 319 out of 360 marks.
17-year-old Kabeer comes from an academically inclined family. His father, Mohit Chhillar, an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur (Electrical Engineering, 1997 batch), works in the private sector, while his mother, Priyanka Chhillar, is a school teacher. Kabeer had earlier scored 98 per cent in Class 10, laying a strong academic foundation for his JEE preparation.
He adopted a focused self-study approach, prioritising concentration and depth of understanding over long study hours. Alongside self-study, he also trained at Allen Career Institute in Kota.
Kabeer emphasised that his preparation was driven by curiosity rather than marks. His interest in astronomy led him to choose the science stream after Class 10, which marked the beginning of his JEE journey.
He describes himself as mentally strong and capable of grasping concepts quickly, often needing to read something just once to retain it, reported PTI. Kabeer maintained a disciplined yet flexible study routine, dedicating around eight hours daily. He regularly analysed his performance after tests, identified weak areas, and refined his strategy ahead of each exam.
Kabeer stated that after every test he consistently carried out detailed self-analysis. He identified his weaknesses and worked intensively on those specific areas. Before each examination, he adjusted his study strategy to ensure he did not repeat past mistakes. Regular mock tests were a core part of his schedule, but what truly set him apart was the in-depth analysis he performed after each paper. This ongoing cycle of testing and reflection enabled him to steadily enhance both his accuracy and time management.
Looking ahead, Kabeer aims to pursue a B.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Bombay and aspires to continue his higher studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
