‘If Dharmendra Pradhan does not resign, students will march to Delhi’: CJP founder announces nationwide protest

Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijit Dipke on Wednesday reiterated his demand for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, alleging that repeated irregularities in examinations have affected the future of millions of students across the country.Addressing a press conference in Pune, Dipke said students and young people were no longer willing to remain silent on issues related to examinations. He warned that a nationwide protest would be launched if the minister does not resign.“One thing has now been proved. The youth of this country will not be scared anymore and will not back down. So far, multiple students have allegedly died by suicide in connection with issues surrounding the NEET examination,” he said.Dipke alleged that more than one crore students had been affected by problems linked to examinations such as NEET, CBSE and CUET. He said no one was taking responsibility for the situation.According to Dipke, the organisation has given the minister until Saturday to step down. If that does not happen, he said, protests will be expanded across the country.“If the resignation does not come, we will start a nationwide movement. It will begin from Pune. We will hold a peaceful protest in Pune at 4 pm on Thursday. Thereafter, protests will also be organised in Lucknow, Amritsar, Jaipur and Bengaluru,” he said.Appealing to the government to accept moral responsibility, Dipke alleged that the future of lakhs of candidates was being put at risk.“Paper leaks are taking place, servers are going down, and students are suffering. Who will take responsibility for this, and how long will this continue?” he asked. He also announced plans for a larger protest in the national capital later this month. According to Dipke, students and youth from different parts of the country will gather in Delhi on June 20 if Pradhan does not resign.“I myself will participate in the protest and appeal to people to come to the national capital. If Dharmendra Pradhan does not resign, students and youth from across the country will come to Delhi and will not return until his resignation is secured,” he said.Dipke also said that if Prime Minister Narendra Modi could stop the Russia-Ukraine war, he could ensure the resignation of the education minister as well. The CJP had earlier staged a protest at Jantar Mantar on June 6.
