According to the official notification, GSRTC will recruit 4,599 candidates for the Driver post.Candidates selected through the recruitment process may be posted at any depot or division of the corporation based on operational requirements.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants should possess the educational qualifications prescribed in the notification along with basic computer knowledge.Candidates must also hold a valid Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) or Heavy Passenger Vehicle (HPV) driving licence and fulfil the required driving experience conditions mentioned by GSRTC. Selection process
The selection process will include an Optical Mark Recognition (OMR)-based written examination followed by a driving test.The written examination will carry 100 marks and consist of objective-type questions.Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for the driving test. The driving test will carry 50 marks, and candidates will have to secure at least 35 marks to qualify. Those scoring below the minimum qualifying marks will be considered unsuccessful.
Application fee
Candidates belonging to the Unreserved (General) category are required to pay an online processing fee of Rs 300 plus applicable GST.Candidates from reserved categories, including Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Socially and Educationally Backward Class (SEBC), women candidates, ex-servicemen and eligible persons with disabilities, will have to pay Rs 200 plus applicable GST.
