DU UG Admissions 2026: According to the official schedule, candidates can submit their preferences as well as edit the application forms till July 11.

The University of Delhi (DU) is slated to begin the Phase 2 of the Undergraduate (UG) admission process for the 2026-27 academic session today, July 3. Candidates will be able to register through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal starting today by logging in to the official website at admission.uod.ac.in.

According to the official schedule, candidates can submit their preferences till July 11. The application correction window will remain open from July 10 and 11. The first CSAS allocation list will be released at 5 pm on July 16, and candidates can accept their allotted seats between July 16 and 18. Colleges will be required to verify the admissions between July 16 and 20, while the last date to pay the online admission fee for Round 1 is July 21. The second CSAS allocation list will be announced at noon on July 25.

The non-refundable registration fee is Rs 250 for candidates from the General, OBC-NCL and EWS categories, while applicants belonging to the SC, ST and PwBD categories are required to pay Rs 100.

DU UG Academic Calendar

The calendar outlines the academic timeline for the entire session, including vacations and examination dates. For the odd semesters, classes will begin on July 28, followed by the autumn break from October 18 to 25. After this, classes will resume on October 26, while theory examinations will commence on December 4. Students will then have their winter vacation from December 25 to 31.

As per the notice, the even semesters – II, IV, VI, and VIII – classes will begin on January 1, 2027. A mid-semester break has been scheduled from March 21 to 28, with classes resuming on March 29. Theory examinations will commence on May 13, followed by the summer vacation from June 3 to July 20, 2027.

The university is offering nearly 71,600 undergraduate seats across 67 colleges and more than 73 academic programmes. So far, it has received over 82,000 applications from aspiring students.

DU is also set to introduce revised combinations for several Bachelor of Arts (BA) programmes, reported PTI. Dean of Admissions Haneet Gandhi said the revised programme combinations are being finalised after a detailed review of admission trends from recent years. The move aims to align programme offerings with student preferences and improve the utilisation of available seats.
