According to the CBSE schedule, the submission window for the LOC for regular candidates and examination forms for private candidates is from September 22 to September 26, 2026.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to conduct special examinations for Class 12 students in West Asian countries whose Board examinations could not be held earlier due to the prevailing situation in the region. The examinations will be conducted in 40 subjects, comprising 20 academic and 20 skill-based subjects.
The Board Examinations 2026 for these subjects could not be conducted in West Asian countries. To ensure that students’ academic interests were protected, the CBSE had introduced an Assessment Scheme on March 27, 2026, for preparing the results of affected candidates.
Under the scheme, the results of regular candidates from West Asian countries were declared on May 13, 2026, along with the Class 12 results of candidates in India and other countries. The results of private candidates from the affected countries were also subsequently declared under the same Assessment Scheme.
The Assessment Scheme had also provided an opportunity for students who were dissatisfied with their results to appear for examinations in subjects that could not be conducted earlier. The CBSE has now decided to conduct these exams for eligible Class 12 candidates whose results were declared under the Assessment Scheme.
The decision has been taken in compliance with the order of the Supreme Court in CWP-815 of 2026. The special examinations will cover the 40 subjects that were previously cancelled.
For regular candidates, students of CBSE-affiliated schools in West Asian countries will be eligible if their List of Candidates (LOC) was submitted for the 2026 Main Exams and their results were declared under the Assessment Scheme. Candidates will be allowed to appear in subjects of their choice.
The result obtained in the special examination will be treated as final and will replace the candidate’s earlier performance. Eligible regular candidates will have to submit their LOC personally within the prescribed schedule.
Private-category students from West Asian countries will also be eligible if they had submitted their examination forms for the 2026 Main Exams and their results were declared under the Assessment Scheme. They can also appear in subjects of their choice.
For private candidates, the result of the special examination will similarly be treated as final and will replace their earlier performance. Candidates will have to submit their exam forms personally within the prescribed schedule.

The special exams will provide eligible students from West Asian countries an opportunity to improve or reassess their performance in subjects that could not be conducted during the 2026 Class 12 Board Examinations.
