The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started the online process for Class 10 students who want to get their marks verified or apply for re-evaluation in 2026. This option is available to students who appeared for the Main or Secondary Board examinations. Students who are unhappy with their marks can apply through the official CBSE website at cbse.gov.in.

CBSE allows students to see their evaluated answer sheets before applying so that they can identify genuine mistakes or issues. This helps students avoid submitting unnecessary requests based only on assumptions about their marks.

Students must also follow all CBSE instructions while submitting their applications. Applications that do not follow the required procedure may be rejected without further communication. Only one application for each step per student will be accepted through the online process.

CBSE Class 10 Re-Evaluation 2026: Application Fees

Students have to pay the following fees:

Marks verification: Rs 300

Re-evaluation: Rs 100

How to Apply for CBSE 10th Marks Verification or Re-Evaluation

Step 1: First, students need to obtain a scanned copy of their evaluated answer sheet. They should check it carefully for issues such as missing answers, missing pages, calculation errors in totaling marks, or mistakes in evaluation. If they find such an issue, they can apply for marks verification. If they believe a particular question has been given fewer marks than it deserves or has been evaluated incorrectly, they can request re-evaluation for that question.

Step 2: Log in to the CBSE portal using your roll number and admit card ID.

Step 3: Select the “Verification of Issues” option on the dashboard. Choose all the subjects for which you want verification and proceed with the payment.

Step 4: Go to the re-evaluation section on the dashboard.

Step 5: Select the required subject and question for re-evaluation, then complete the payment.

Step 6: Save or download the application form for future reference.

Step 7: Make sure the required fee has been paid successfully.

Step 8: Check all the information entered in the application carefully and submit the form.

Step 9: Regularly check the application status for updates.

Students should keep in mind that applying for verification or re-evaluation does not guarantee an increase in marks. The marks may go up, go down, or stay the same. Any changes made by CBSE will be final.
