The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will close the opportunity to get scanned copies of answer sheets today, May 25 at midnight. The Board had earlier extended the deadline from May 23 to May 24 and later on till May 25. According to board officials, many students and parents had been consistently requesting an extension of the application deadline.
Students mentioned that they were facing difficulties in submitting their applications on time due to technical issues or other commitments. In view of this, the board extended the deadline till May 25. CBSE has clarified that its aim is to ensure that no student is deprived of this important facility and that everyone gets an equal opportunity.
The board has also clarified that there is no change in the process for obtaining scanned copies of answer sheets. Students can apply through the online portal as before and must pay the prescribed fee. After a successful application, students will receive a digital copy of their evaluated answer sheet. This will allow them to see a detailed evaluation of their answers and understand how many marks they received for each question.
CBSE has informed that the application process for re-evaluation will begin after the scanned copies are made available. However, the official date for this has not yet been announced. The board has stated that students will be notified through the website as soon as this process begins. Additionally, the re-evaluation portal will remain open for at least two days after the scanned copies are released, giving students sufficient time to apply.

The Board has further assured that all excess payments will be refunded automatically to the same payment method used during the transaction. In cases where lesser amounts were deducted, students will be informed separately if any balance payment is required.
CBSE also clarified that scanned copies of evaluated answer books will be provided to all affected students and that they will not be required to submit fresh applications.
