The controversy surrounding the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 board exam answer sheets is deepening, with a growing number of students and parents voicing serious concerns about discrepancies in the scanned copies provided during the re-evaluation process. After students like Vedant and Sanjana reported receiving incorrect answer sheets online, students and parents are now alleging multiple irregularities — including missing pages in answer sheets, marks not awarded for correct responses, blurred scans, and even instances where answer sheets were not provided despite payment.

Many fear these errors could significantly affect college admissions, scholarships, and future career prospects.

Students Claim Correct MCQs Given Zero Marks

Concerns have also been raised over evaluation accuracy in multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and step marking. According to complaints shared online, some students were allegedly awarded zero despite selecting correct answers. Others claimed that marks were deducted even where partial or step marking should have been granted, especially in subjects like Mathematics and Physics.

Students are questioning why marks were reduced despite correct responses and why no clear explanation was provided during evaluation.

Missing Pages, Unmarked Answers

Several parents expressed shock after reviewing scanned copies received from the board. One parent alleged that while her daughter received scanned copies for four subjects, one answer sheet was missing an entire page. She further claimed that several answers matching the official answer key were not awarded marks. She further highlighted that discrepancies of even 30–35 marks can drastically alter admission prospects and competitive rankings.

Paid for Answer Sheets, But Copies Still Missing

Another major grievance revolves around students not receiving answer sheets even after paying the required fee. Several students said they applied for scanned copies weeks ago, but the documents are either unavailable on the portal or only partially uploaded. Many students say that without access to scanned copies, they are unable to verify whether their papers were evaluated fairly.

Questions Over Blurred Scans and Portal Security

Students have also questioned how evaluations were conducted when many scanned copies appeared blurred or unclear.

As complaints continue to surface, students and parents are demanding greater transparency, faster grievance resolution, and a more accountable evaluation process from the board.
