The minimum educational qualification required is 10th pass. Of the total vacancies, 9096 vacancies are for male candidates and 79 are for female candidates.

For driver posts, a heavy motor vehicle driving licence is mandatory. For motor mechanics, candidates must have passed 10th and completed two years of ITI in the relevant trade, or three years of apprenticeship along with one year of work experience.

The age limit for Constable (Driver) is 21 to 27 years. For Constable (Motor Mechanic, Cobbler, Carpenter, Tailor, Brass Band, Pipe Band, Gardener, Bugler, Painter, Cook, Barber cum Hair Dresser, Washerman (Male and Female), Water Carrier, Sweeper, Mason, Plumber, and Electrician), the age limit is 18 to 23 years. Age relaxation will be provided to reserved category candidates as per government rules.
CRPF Constable Recruitment 2026: Selection Process
The selection process for this CRPF Constable recruitment will start with a Computer Based Test (CBT). Candidates who qualify will then have to appear for the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). After that, a trade test, document verification, and finally a medical examination will be conducted. The physical standards will be as per the prescribed norms.
“Final result will be declared by the CRPF based on the performance of candidates in the Computer Based Test (CBT) subject to their qualifying the PET, PST, Trade/Skill Test, Document Verification (DV), Medical Examination and other conditions stipulated in the Recruitment Notice,” read the official notice.
