People often give up after facing repeated failures and obstacles. But 29-year-old Nagendra Sai Lomada, a resident of Raja Reddy Street in Andhra Pradesh’s Kadapa district, has proved that when hard work is genuine, failure itself becomes the strongest foundation for success. Nagendra Sai, who completed an integrated B.Tech-M.Tech in Industrial and Systems Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, has made headlines by securing not one or two, but 13 central government job offers within a single year.

Nagendra Sai initially dreamed of building a career in the IT sector, but the COVID-19 pandemic dealt a major blow to campus placements. Instead of losing hope, he decided to pursue a career in the government sector. Despite several setbacks and narrowly missing success in competitive exams, he remained determined. His perseverance finally paid off in 2025, when, after appearing for nearly 30 competitive examinations, he secured selection in 13 different central government departments. His journey stands as an inspiring example for young people across the country.

Overcoming the setback of COVID-19

Nagendra Sai Lomada, the son of retired APSRTC officer Ashwani Kumar and school teacher Rajarajeshwari, was a bright student from an early age. After completing his schooling, he earned a five-year integrated degree from IIT Kharagpur. However, just as he was preparing to begin his IT career, the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted job placements. Seeking stability, he began preparing for government examinations in June 2022.

The initial phase of his preparation was far from easy. In the 2023 SSC examination, he missed selection by just a few marks due to normalization. Even after moving to Hyderabad for coaching in 2024, he could not clear the SSC Mains. Encouraged by the unwavering support of his parents, he restarted his preparation with renewed determination in April 2025. He learned from every setback, corrected his mistakes, and sharpened his focus.

From SSC To Navy: Cracked 13 Jobs

In 2025, his dedication finally bore fruit as he received 13 government job offers in quick succession:

AIIMS CRE: Social Security Officer (Level 7) and Upper Division Clerk (UDC, Level 4)

CPCB: Upper Division Clerk (UDC, Level 4)

SSC CGL 2025: Statistical Investigator Grade II (Level 6)

SSC Phase XIII: Surveyor, Assistant Communication Officer, Telecom Assistant, Fumigation Assistant, Surveillance Assistant, Fieldman, Assistant Administrator (HR), and Assistant Village Industry Administrator (Levels 2 to 6)

Among the many opportunities he received, Nagendra Sai chose the role that best suited his aspirations. He is currently serving as an ESIC Branch Manager in Mahbubnagar, Telangana. He has also cleared nine posts under the Navy INCET recruitment, with the final results still awaited.

Nagendra Sai believes that many job aspirants focus only on a handful of popular recruitment drives while ignoring numerous central government vacancies announced throughout the year. He encourages candidates to apply for as many relevant opportunities as possible. According to him, disciplined preparation, studying for 10 to 12 hours a day, and making effective use of digital learning platforms are key to success. He also advised aspirants never to fear failure, because every setback brings them one step closer to success.
