The application process for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2027 has officially begun for students aspiring to secure admission to the country’s National Law Universities (NLUs). The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) has started accepting online applications through its official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Admissions to undergraduate (LLB) and postgraduate (LLM) law programmes will be offered based on CLAT 2027 scores.

The online registration window will remain open until October 31, 2026, and the CLAT 2027 examination is scheduled to be held on December 6, 2026. CLAT scores are accepted by 26 National Law Universities and more than 60 affiliated law schools across India.

CLAT 2027 Eligibility Criteria

For LLB programmes:

Candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination with at least 45% marks. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, and differently-abled categories must have secured a minimum of 40% marks.

For LLM programmes:

General, OBC, and NRI candidates must have obtained at least 50% marks in their LLB degree. SC, ST, and differently-abled candidates require a minimum of 45% marks. Students appearing in the final year of their LLB course are also eligible to apply.

Steps to Apply for CLAT 2027

Candidates can complete the application process by following these steps:

– Visit the official CLAT website.

– Click on the CLAT 2027 application link.

– Register using the required details.

– Fill out the online application form carefully.

– Upload the necessary documents.

– Pay the application fee through the online payment mode.

– Submit the application form.

– Download and save the confirmation page for future reference.
