The registration process for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2026 has officially started. Qualifying the CAT exam opens the door to admission not only at the IIMs but also at several leading business schools across India. Every year, lakhs of MBA aspirants eagerly wait for the CAT application window to open.

Before filling out the form, applicants should carefully review the eligibility criteria, application process, and fee details. All official updates related to CAT 2026 are available on iimcat.ac.in.

Who Can Apply for CAT 2026?

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with at least 50% marks. For candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories, the minimum required marks are 45%. Students who are currently in the final year or final semester of their graduation are also eligible to apply.

Payment can be made through credit card, debit card, UPI, or net banking. The application will be considered complete only after successful payment of the fee.

Make sure your photograph and signature meet the prescribed size and format requirements. After submitting the form, download and print a copy of the confirmation page for future reference. It will be useful during the admit card download and admission process. Candidates are advised to complete their registration well before the September 15, 2026 deadline to avoid last-minute issues.

The CAT 2026 examination will be held on November 29, 2026, and the results are expected to be announced in January 2027.
