According to details available on Digital Parliament, Dharmendra Pradhan was born on June 26, 1969, in Talcher, Odisha. His father, Dr. Debendra Pradhan, served as a Union Minister of State during the Atal Bihari Vajpayee-led government. Coming from a politically active family, Dharmendra Pradhan developed an interest in public life early on. Dharmendra Pradhan completed his early education Odisha before graduating from Talcher College. He then pursued higher studies at Utkal University, where he earned a Master’s degree in Anthropology. Dharmendra Pradhan started his political journey through student activism. He later took up important responsibilities in the BJP’s youth wing, and eventually became the national president of the BJYM. In 2000, he was elected to the Odisha Legislative Assembly for the first time. He later entered the Lok Sabha in 2004 and subsequently served as a member of the Rajya Sabha.
