Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan met NEET UG 2026 All India Rank (AIR) 2 holder Panshul Bansal from Haryana and congratulated him on his outstanding result in the country’s largest medical entrance examination. He praised Panshul for his hard work and commitment, saying that his achievement represents the dreams and determination of young people across India.

Sharing details of the meeting on social media, Pradhan wished Panshul success in the years ahead. He said the achievement was possible because of years of consistent effort, discipline and perseverance.

“Met Panshul Bansal from Haryana, who has secured AIR 2 in NEET UG 2026. Congratulated him on this outstanding achievement and wished him success in his career. His accomplishment reflects the dedication, perseverance and aspiration of India’s young minds. I am confident he will contribute meaningfully to the nation’s healthcare ecosystem through excellence and service,” states the post by the education minister on X.

According to Panshul, he had always loved studying. When he was in Class 7, he decided he wanted to become a doctor. From that day, he stayed focused on his goal. Two years ago, he even told one of his teachers that he would become one of the NEET toppers. At that time, it was just a dream, but he worked hard every day to make it come true. He credits his family for supporting him throughout his journey. According to Panshul, his parents never forced him to become a doctor or choose a particular career. They always gave him the freedom to make his own decisions, which made studying feel like his own choice rather than a burden.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the NEET UG 2026 results after the examination was held on June 21, 2026. Nearly 20 lakh students appeared for the exam held across 5,440 exam centres spread across 551 cities in India and 14 cities outside the country. Of these, around 11.21 lakh candidates qualified for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and other undergraduate medical programmes. Aryan Gupta from Ludhiana secured All India Rank (AIR) 1 by scoring 715 out of 720 marks with a 99.9999 percentile.

Future NEET aspirants can achieve similar success through focused study, consistent practice, and maintaining a positive mindset, even after setbacks. Panshul Bansal, who secured AIR 2 in NEET UG 2026, emphasized studying with full focus and using time wisely, rather than just long hours.
