The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the IBPS PO notification for the recruitment of 6,715 Probationary Officer (PO) and Management Trainee (MT) posts across 11 participating public sector banks. Eligible and interested candidates can complete their online application process by visiting the official IBPS website, ibps.in. The last date to apply is July 21, 2026.
The selection process includes three stages: the Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Common Interview. The IBPS PO Prelims is scheduled for August 22 and 23, while the Main Examination will be conducted on October 4.

Bank of India: 500 vacancies
Central Bank of India: 500 vacancies
Punjab & Sind Bank: 161 vacancies

OBC: 1,816 posts
SC: 1,009 posts

IBPS PO 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a university recognised by the Government of India or possess an equivalent qualification approved by the central government. They should have a valid mark sheet or degree certificate confirming their graduation status at the time of registration.
They must also have basic computer proficiency as the job role requires familiarity with computer systems.
Age Limit: Applicants must be minimum of 20 years and maximum 30 years as of July 1, 2026. Candidates must have been born between July 2, 1996, and July 1, 2006, inclusive of both dates.

Step 2: Select the “CRP PO/MT” section available on the homepage.
Step 3: Click on the “New Registration” option to create your registration number and password.
Step 4: Log in using the generated credentials and complete the application form by entering personal, academic, and communication details.
Step 5: Upload the required documents including recent photograph, signature, scanned copy of left thumb impression, and handwritten declaration.
Step 6: Submit the fees and save a copy of the page for further use.

The final selection will depend on performance in the Main Exam and the Interview. The final merit will be calculated with an 80:20 weightage ratio, where the Main Exam contributes 80% and the Interview contributes 20%.
