The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the Class 12 re-evaluation results, bringing life-changing success for two students from Jharkhand. Following the rechecking process, Avni Kejriwal of Ranchi and Aditya Mishra of Bokaro saw significant improvements in their scores, earning national topper positions in their respective streams.
What makes this achievement even more remarkable is that students from Jharkhand have now secured the top rank nationally across all three streams—Science, Commerce, and Arts.
Ranchi Student Get 24 Marks Extra After Re-evaluation
Avni Kejriwal, a student of Delhi Public School (DPS), Ranchi, emerged as the national topper in Commerce after re-evaluation. Initially, she had scored 95.2 per cent but believed her English marks did not reflect her performance. After reviewing her answer sheet, she applied for re-evaluation in English, Business Studies, and Graphics.
The reassessment led to a dramatic increase in her scores, with her English marks rising from 81 to 100, while she also received full marks in Business Studies and Graphics. Her revised total reached a perfect 500 out of 500, making her the national Commerce topper with 100 per cent marks. Avni said she was confident about her performance but never imagined she would become the national topper.
Bokaro Students Secures Over 99%
Similarly, Aditya Mishra of DPS Bokaro benefited from the re-evaluation process. Although he had initially scored 99.20 per cent, he was dissatisfied with the 96 marks awarded to him in Biology. After rechecking, his Biology score increased to 99, raising his overall percentage to 99.60.
As a result, he became the joint national topper in Science alongside Sonakshi Goyal from Kanpur. Aditya secured perfect scores in English Core, Chemistry, and Painting, while scoring 99 marks in Physics. His accomplishment has brought immense pride to both his family and school.
Arts Topper Also From Ranchi
In the Arts stream, Bhavya Ranjan of Oxford Public School, Ranchi, had already achieved national topper status with an outstanding 99.8 per cent score. She attributed her success to the school’s dedicated “Target 100″ programme, which emphasised daily practice and timely academic support from teachers. Bhavya plans to pursue History and hopes to prepare for the civil services examination in the future.
According to CBSE, the results of approximately 87 per cent of students who applied for re-evaluation and verification have been released so far. Students whose results have not yet been released will be out soon, in phases, the Board has stated.
