The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced a significant change to its verification and revaluation process, giving students an additional opportunity to seek clarity regarding their board examination results.

Under the new arrangement, students who receive a “No-Change” outcome after applying for answer sheet verification will be allowed to physically inspect their evaluated answer books at the concerned CBSE Regional Offices. By allowing physical inspection of answer books, the board aims to address concerns related to answer sheet evaluation more effectively and reduce dissatisfaction among students.

Previously, students could apply for verification and revaluation of their answer sheets, but there was no provision to review the evaluated answer books in person after these processes were completed. The latest move is expected to provide greater clarity to students who remain dissatisfied with the outcome of verification requests.

In an official notice, CBSE stated, “Candidates who applied for the verification of Issues observed and for whom CBSE has reported the outcome as “No-change”, would be offered an opportunity, if they wish to inspect their answer books at the concerned CBSE Regional Office. The schedule for the same would be released soon.”

The board further urged students and parents to rely only on official communication channels for updates related to the post-result process. “CBSE appeals to students and parents not to rely on unverified social media posts, rumours, or unofficial sources regarding the post-result process. Authentic and updated information shall be made available through CBSE’s official communication channels,” the notice added.

The results of approximately 87 per cent of students who applied for re-evaluation and verification have been released so far. The board has clarified that the results of the remaining students will be released soon, in phases. Therefore, candidates whose results have not yet been updated should periodically check their status by visiting the DigiLocker portal.
