With the NEET UG 2026 re-examination just days away, several aspirants across the country say they are still grappling with unresolved refund issues and are unable to download their admit cards, adding to their stress ahead of the crucial exam.

The re-exam is scheduled to be held on June 21 after the original test conducted on May 3 was cancelled following allegations of a paper leak. While authorities have assured smooth conduct this time, many students claim technical glitches are making the process far from seamless.

Several aspirants took to social media platform X to highlight their concerns. One user complained about issues linked to the refund verification process, saying, “Facing issue regarding fee refund verification… we saved the bank details previously, so we didn’t change this time and went forward for downloading admit card, but it showed you are agreed to not provide bank account.”

Another student said they had been trying for days without success. “I have been trying to download my Re-NEET admit card for the last 3 days, but it is not working. This issue is causing me severe stress and anxiety, which is badly disrupting my studies,” the student wrote, urging authorities to resolve the matter urgently.

Some candidates also flagged confusion around the linking of refund processing with admit card downloads. “You have unnecessarily clubbed fee refund with admit card download and created this avoidable chaos,” a user wrote, questioning the logic behind asking students to re-enter bank details that had already been submitted earlier.

Others said that even after completing the refund process, they were yet to receive their money and still could not access their hall tickets. “Why can’t I download my admit card although I’ve already completed my refund process and still haven’t received my refund amount?” another aspirant asked.

The National Testing Agency (NTA), however, maintained that the process is largely on track. According to the agency, over 10 lakh candidates downloaded their admit cards within 24 hours of the release. “Our tech teams are monitoring the load on the servers and we will ensure that all candidates get their admit cards well in time,” the NTA said in a statement.

On the refund issue, the NTA clarified that exam fee refunds will be processed directly to candidates’ bank accounts. It also said that those who may have entered incorrect bank details will be given an opportunity to make corrections after the examination.

The NEET UG 2026 re-exam comes in the backdrop of controversy, after the earlier test was scrapped on May 12 due to malpractice concerns. Investigations had found similarities between a circulated ‘guess paper’ and the actual question paper, raising serious questions about the integrity of the exam process.
