With CUET 2026 approaching, students are now entering the most crucial stage of preparation. The final few days before the examination are not about studying endlessly or covering every remaining topic. Instead, this phase is about staying focused, revising strategically, and maintaining the right mindset.

In competitive exams like CUET, performance is often influenced not only by preparation but also by clarity of thought, time management, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Students who approach these last days with discipline and confidence are more likely to perform at their true potential.

Here are five important last-minute preparation strategies students should follow before the exam:

  1. Prioritise Revision Instead of New Topics

The days before the exam should be dedicated entirely to revision. Starting unfamiliar chapters at this stage can increase stress and create confusion. Students should focus on revisiting important concepts, NCERT-based topics, formulas, and notes they have already studied to strengthen retention and confidence.

  1. Practise Mock Tests in Real Exam Conditions

Mock tests are most effective when attempted seriously and within proper time limits. Students should practise full-length tests during the same time slot as their actual exam to improve focus, speed, and familiarity with the computer-based format. This also helps reduce anxiety and builds mental readiness for exam day.

As the exam gets closer, students often become distracted by discussions around preparation levels, mock scores, and cut-offs. Such comparisons create unnecessary pressure and self-doubt. The final days should be focused on consistency and self-belief rather than external distractions.

Students should enter the exam hall with a clear plan. Deciding beforehand how much time to allocate to each section, which questions to attempt first, and when to move ahead from difficult questions can improve overall accuracy and reduce panic during the examination.
