This year marks a historic milestone for Delhi University’s prestigious Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), which is celebrating 100 years of its establishment. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the college’s centenary celebrations on September 5, Teachers’ Day, to commemorate the landmark occasion.

PM Modi praises SRCC’s legacy
Nearly four months ago, on April 25, members of SRCC’s governing body met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During the meeting, the Prime Minister described the college’s centenary as a significant achievement and praised its long-standing contribution to higher education and its academic legacy.
Modi noted that SRCC has played an important role in India’s higher education system and has contributed to developing capable and effective leaders across various fields. He also highlighted the institution’s enduring reputation as one of the country’s most prestigious educational institutions.
As part of the centenary celebrations, a special postage stamp has also been issued in honour of SRCC. The stamp is seen as a recognition of the institution’s century-long academic journey and its contribution to the development of India’s education system.
