Bengaluru News: The CID has arrested IAS officer Gyanendra Kumar in connection with the alleged Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) veterinary officer recruitment scam. Kumar, who previously served as the KPSC examination controller, was taken into custody by CID officials last Friday and questioned for several hours as part of the investigation. According to the investigation, the officer allegedly played a significant role in irregularities linked to the recruitment examination. The arrest marks a major development in the case and could lead to further action against others suspected of being involved in the alleged recruitment irregularities.

Why Did CID Arrest Gyanendra Kumar? CID officials reportedly questioned Kumar for 11 hours on one day and another nine hours the following day. Investigators allegedly found that he was not cooperating with the probe and was providing vague answers during questioning. The CID subsequently arrested him late at night. The investigation is now focusing on his alleged involvement in irregularities that occurred at different stages of the recruitment examination.
