Nearly 40 days have passed since the UGC NET June 2026 examination, but the National Testing Agency (NTA) is yet to release the provisional answer key, response sheet, or result. The continued delay has triggered growing frustration among candidates, with several aspirants taking to social media to demand an immediate update from the testing agency.
The NTA conducted the UGC-NET June 2026 examination across various centres in the country on June 22, 23, 24, 25, 29 and 30, as well as July 5, 2026. Candidates are now awaiting the provisional answer key, response sheets and subsequent result announcement.

More than seven lakh candidates are currently waiting for the answer key and have criticised the agency for failing to provide a clear timeline.
Expressing frustration on X, one candidate wrote that more than 40 days had passed since the UGC NET June 2026 examination without the release of the answer key. The user also pointed to delays in other recruitment and entrance examinations, including EMRS and KVS teacher recruitment, alleging that several such processes have remained pending for months.

Another aspirant, criticising the delay, called for the NTA to release the answer key without further postponement, arguing that the careers of lakhs of candidates are affected by the prolonged wait. While another warned of a protest outside the agency office.

Candidates further alleged that delays were not restricted to UGC NET and claimed that similar concerns had emerged regarding the ICAR AIEEA (PG) 2026 examination, which was conducted on July 4.
As of now, the NTA has not announced a specific date or time for the release of the UGC NET 2026 answer key, response sheet, or result. Once out, candidates will be able to check the answer key and result through the official website: ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
