Quacquarelli Symonds has released the QS Best Student Cities 2027 rankings. As per the rankings, Mumbai has secured the 91st place. While Delhi has topped the Affordability indicator with a score of 93.9—the highest among all 150 cities ranked by QS. But overall it secured the 99th spot. Chennai has secured the 123rd place while Bengaluru grabbed the 114th spot. The QS Best Student Cities 2027 rankings evaluate 150 cities worldwide based on university quality, affordability, employer reputation, student diversity and overall student experience. Seoul has once again been ranked as the best student city in the world. According to QS, it has held the top position for the second year in a row. The city’s strong ranking is due to its excellent universities, high-quality education, good job opportunities for graduates, and growing popularity among students from around the world. Tokyo, Japan ranked second overall, tops the Employer Activity indicator and ranks fourth for Desirability, highlighting its attractiveness to students seeking strong career prospects after graduation. However, it secured a minus 60 rank in Affordability. (File Photo)

London secured the third rank with an overall score of 97.3. It also scored rank 2 on Student View, and rank 5 on Employer Activity. However, it scored low on Affordability with a rank of 133. Apart from the top 3, Melbourne moved up one spot to fourth, while Munich and Sydney shared fifth place. Paris remained seventh, Berlin slipped to eighth, Vienna rose to ninth and Zurich rounded out the top 10.
