Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), a satirical online platform, has quickly become one of India’s biggest social media phenomena. Within just five days of launching, its Instagram page gained more than 11.9 million followers. On its website, the CJP describes itself as the “Voice of the Lazy and Unemployed Youth.” In only a few days, the movement attracted huge online attention.
