Reflecting on his CA Intermediate result, Shardul Shekhar Vichare said that while he was confident of performing well, he had not anticipated securing the top rank.
CA Inter: Shardul is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree from RA Poddar College.
Shardul Shekhar Vichare from Maharashtra secured All India Rank (AIR) 1 in the CA Intermediate 2026 examination by scoring an impressive 531 out of 600 marks. A consistent academic achiever, Shardul had earlier secured AIR 3 in the CA Foundation examination. Reflecting on his CA Intermediate result, he said that while he was confident of performing well, he had not anticipated securing the top rank.
Shardul has always approached his studies with clear goals, discipline and dedication. During his CA Foundation preparation, he set himself a target of scoring at least 350 marks. To achieve this, he studied for nearly 10 hours every day and meticulously followed a daily timetable that he wrote on a whiteboard.

According to Shardul’s LinkedIn profile, he completed his Class 10 education at Omkar International School, achieving an outstanding score of 99.4%. He later pursued his higher secondary education at Ramniranjan Anandilal Poddar College of Commerce and Economics (RA Poddar College), Matunga, where he scored 95.17% in Class 12. After completing his schooling, he began preparing for the Chartered Accountancy course.
Shardul is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree from RA Poddar College, as mentioned on his LinkedIn profile. The college is affiliated with the University of Mumbai and is managed by Shikshan Prasarak Mandali (SP Mandali), an educational organization headquartered in Pune.
In May 2025, Shardul cleared the CA Foundation examination on his very first attempt and secured AIR 3 by scoring 358 out of 400 marks. Notably, he surpassed the minimum target of 350 marks that he had set for himself, further demonstrating his commitment, planning, and academic excellence.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) released the CA Intermediate results on June 24 on the official websites at icai.nic.in, icaiexam.icai.org, and caresults.icai.org. Abhinav Satheesh from Kochi secured the second rank with 530 marks (88.33%), while Teerth Jain from Mumbai secured the third position with 519 marks, translating to 86.50%.
