The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced on June 21 that it had released 87% of Class 12 re-evaluation results. However, several students claim they are still waiting for their revised scores and answer-sheet copies.
At the centre of the controversy is Class 12 student Vedant Shrivastava, whose case first drew national attention to concerns surrounding the CBSE re-evaluation process. Weeks after applying for a review of his Physics board examination paper, Vedant says his re-evaluation result remains pending despite the board’s assertion that most revised results have already been declared.
“Many students, including me, have still not received our CBSE re-evaluation results despite the board announcing that most results have been released. CBSE, please provide an update and release all pending re-evaluation results at the earliest,” Vedant wrote on social media.
He is not alone. Several students have voiced frustration over the delay.
“I don’t know how much more time they will take. If they wanted to release the results, they should have done it together,” one student commented.
Another wrote, “Even I have not received my result, and my college admission deadline is approaching.”

Vedant was previously in the spotlight while requesting for his Physics answer script wherein he got the answer sheet of another. After he raised the issue online, numerous students came forward with similar complaints, citing discrepancies in marks, unanswered questions being left unawarded, and answer-sheet mix-ups.
CBSE later shared what appeared to be Vedant’s actual answer script.
Several Students Allege Marking Errors in CBSE Re-evaluation Results
Meanwhile, concerns over alleged errors in re-evaluation continue to surface. Advocate Vineet Jindal said he had received numerous emails from Class 12 students highlighting serious discrepancies in the marking process.
“I have received a large number of emails from CBSE Class 12 students. Many have shared answer sheets that reveal serious errors in re-evaluation and marking. In some cases, students who never applied for re-evaluation in a subject have found their marks reduced. Such instances raise serious concerns regarding the assessment process,” Jindal wrote on X.
He added that several students had expressed a willingness to pursue legal remedies and assured them of his support in seeking fair evaluation and transparency.
He also claimed that a documentary evidence submitted by a student suggested CBSE had not followed its own prescribed procedures.

Jindal also highlighted the case of a Class 12 student whose re-evaluation result has allegedly not yet been declared. He further claimed that the student’s account on X had been blocked. “What is shocking is that while the student is merely seeking declaration of his result, his account has reportedly been blocked on X. Is CBSE seeking the blocking of students who are only demanding declaration of their pending results? Since when has asking for one’s result become an offence?” Jindal questioned. (sic)
