The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the final answer key for the CUET UG 2026 examination. Candidates who appeared for the test can download the PDF from the official website, cuet.nta.nic.in. With the final answer key now available, the announcement of the CUET UG 2026 results is expected shortly.
Following the review of objections submitted against the provisional answer key, the NTA has removed seven questions from the final answer key after identifying technical discrepancies. The decision came after a panel of subject experts examined the challenges raised by candidates. The deletion of these questions will have a direct impact on the final scoring process.
How To Check the CUET UG 2026 Final Answer Key
— Candidates can access the final answer key by visiting the official CUET website — cuet.nta.nic.in — and clicking on the relevant link on the homepage.
— The answer key is available in PDF format, allowing students to verify correct responses by matching their subject and question IDs.
The provisional answer key was released on June 9, 2026, and candidates were allowed to raise objections until June 11, 2026. After evaluating the objections, the NTA finalised the answer key and removed seven disputed questions.
CUET UG 2026 Result Date
As per media reports, the CUET UG 2026 scorecards could be released by June 26, 2026. Even if there is a minor delay, the results are expected to be declared by the first week of July.
CUET UG 2026 witnessed the highest number of registrations in its history, with over 15.68 lakh candidates registering for the examination, surpassing the 15.54 lakh registrations recorded in 2025. The test was conducted across 37 subjects, with candidates opting for an average of more than four subjects each.
Among the states, Uttar Pradesh recorded the highest number of applicants, followed by Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, and Bihar. English emerged as the most popular subject among candidates nationwide.
What Happens After the CUET UG Result?
Once the results are announced, participating universities, including Delhi University (DU) and Banaras Hindu University (BHU), will activate their admission portals. Candidates will be required to complete the admission application process by submitting their CUET scorecards and relevant documents, such as Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, caste certificates (if applicable), and other required credentials.
Universities will then begin their counselling and seat allocation processes, releasing merit lists based on CUET scores. Candidates whose names appear on the merit lists will be eligible to secure admission to their preferred courses and institutions.
