Following the declaration of the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2026 results, millions of students anxious about their scores have found some relief. After a day’s delay, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on June 2 stated it has opened the Verification of Marks and Re-evaluation Portal, allowing students to apply online for both processes.

However, just few hours after the portal reopened, several students have taken to microblogging platform X to report technical glitches on the portal.

One student wrote, “I am unable to log in. I am entering all details correctly, but after filling in the captcha, I get an error message saying verification failed. Please assist or fix this issue.”

Another student complained, “It is not working. I have entered details for 13 questions three times at different intervals, but every time I click on ‘Save and Pay’, it logs me out. Proper testing should have been done before launching.”

A third user highlighted the time constraint, saying, “Please increase the login time limit to at least two hours. It takes a lot of time to carefully enter reasons and identify questions. I spent two hours entering details for four questions, but when I proceeded to payment, I was redirected to the login page.”

The board has stated that the application window will remain open until June 6, 2026. Students who suspect discrepancies in their answer sheets can submit their requests within this timeframe.

CBSE also clarified that after re-evaluation, marks may increase, decrease, or remain unchanged. The revised marks will be treated as final.

In a significant move, the board has also announced that if a student’s marks increase after re-evaluation, the re-evaluation fee will be refunded. This decision is expected to provide relief, especially to students who were earlier hesitant to apply due to financial constraints.
